Sr. Integration Engineer

Job Description
Senior Integration Engineers work hand in hand with SailPoint technology partners to help build long-term, scalable solutions around the SailPoint platform. They work to identify, design, and validate potential integrations with partners, build solid business cases for integration, and rally stakeholder consensus and investment. Senior Integration Engineers also take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices to the wider SailPoint community - internal and external.
Senior Integration Engineer own the overall technical relationship between partners and SailPoint and make recommendations on prioritization, requirements, design, and architecture for the solutions that can be developed. They work to understand what value proposition the integrated solutions between SailPoint and the partner brings, and own the use case development, technical strategy, and architecture required to realize such solutions for our customers.
This role is based in Austin TX (or remote) and you would be working with both our SailPoint Technology Alliance partners as well as the relevant internal product owners.
Working knowledge of the SailPoint platform is desired but not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation on identity and security, and a desire to learn. All team members have the support to grow their expertise in industry and technology areas of depth.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will:

• Work directly with our strategic partners to identify compelling use cases, design effective solutions, and provide detailed business value assessments for each proposed integration.
• Work with the larger SailPoint product organization to understand strategic direction, and pursue integration opportunities in line with the roadmap.
• Own the technical relationship with the partners and operate as their trusted advisor. You will own the technical plan to grow their SailPoint integration capabilities in specific horizontal or vertical areas.
• Share the voice of the partner to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the SailPoint platform.
• Evangelize and educate about SailPoint technologies.
• Contribute to the growth of the Technology Alliance organization by coaching and mentoring others.
• Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your partner's outcomes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a demonstrated record of increasing responsibilities.
• Broad technical background and understanding of technologies related to the cloud ecosystem.
• Experience with web services frameworks and related technologies such asJava, Groovy, Grails, Spring, J2EE,Apache Tomcat, HTTP, AJAX, REST, SOAP, XML
• Experience working as a technology strategist, able to operate at both business and technical level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale and impactful IT projects - either on premises or in the cloud.
• Experience using cloud-native technologies from any of 3 CSPs - AWS/ Azure/ GCP; strong affinity towards AWS.
• Experience in designing, implementing RESTful APIs for an API-first application architecture.
• Strong opinions on how to best build, ship, and support software.
• Experience working with business partners.
• Experience collaborating effectively with internal or external stakeholder groups at multiple levels.
• SailPoint certification (e.g. IdentityNow Engineer, IdentityIQ Architect).
