Sr. Integration & Test Engineer

Meet the Team:

Torc is looking for a HiL Integration Engineer to join a team responsible for ramping our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) efforts. This will enable more comprehensive development and testing through the use of component benches, systems benches, and HiL systems.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the development of component/systems benches to enable faster development and system testing with hardware in the loop.
• Work towards a strategy and timeline for larger scale, comprehensive HiL systems which will enable in-depth hardware best testing of our autonomous driving software.
• Support design and integration of HiL systems both Stateside and abroad.
• Lead the integration of new and existing self-driving software onto vehicles and test benches as necessary.
• Assist with troubleshooting of component and system integration issues, guiding the team to an efficient resolution.
• Develop and execute system integration release test plans, specifically those that utilize the component benches and HiL systems.
• Support any additional integration activities which may include on vehicle integration, debugging of various electromechanical systems, and working with various parts of the autonomy software.

 What you will need to succeed: 

• BS in computer engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, or related technical field + 6 years of experience OR MS + 4 years of experience
• Experience developing component benches and HiL systems
• Experience with robotics, or systems and software integration for complex E/E systems
• Hands-on experience with test and troubleshooting of robotic, autonomous, or automotive systems
• Experience using ROS is preferred
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, able to identify root causes in complex integrated systems
• Effective communication skills in both written documentation and verbal presentation
• Open to travel to various Torc locations, Stateside and abroad.
