Job Description

SUMMARY: The IT Knowledge Manager ensures everyone in the organization has the Technology information they need. This role will own the governance of a knowledge base residing in BankUnitedNOW (Bank Wiki), define best practices and measure IT Knowledge overall health. The candidate will work on the ITSM Department at BankUnited and partner closely with ServiceDesk, BankUnitedNOW Application Delivery, Production Support and BRMs.

Applicants must be in their senior year of their bachelor's degree and exhibit solid communication, leadership, and technical skills.

Internship Details:

  • Internship runs August 1st, 2022 to March 31st, 2023
  • 5 hours daily - 25 hours weekly -- Remote schedule
  • Pay rate: $24.00
  • Participants will be assigned both a mentor and an employee resource for the duration of the program
  • Successful internships may result in full-time employment with BankUnited upon graduation/completion of bachelor's degree.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
  • Re-design the BankUnited Portal towards an intuitive avenue for Knowledge articles.
  • Define/Build/Promote the use of Knowledge standard templates
  • Adopt best practices (KCS)
  • Help capturing new knowledge with the usage of a knowledge management system, especially with the ServiceDesk team
  • Ensure that employees are aware of the knowledge management processes, including the purpose of doing so
  • Ensure that the right knowledge goes to the right people, and that this information is promptly applied to business activities
  • Monitor progress and learning processes by keeping track of engagement, project outcomes and other metrics
  • Provide relevant coaching, training and support to champion a knowledge management culture
  • Career Path: Intern can choose one of the following paths: *Analytics * Portal Development * ServiceNOW Production Support * ServiceNOW Service Level Management * Also, intern will be provided training, career development opportunities, and mentoring throughout the duration of the internship.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
