About this role:
This is a new role within the growing Information Security Delivery Team that focuses on lean project management. You will make immediate contributions by serving as Scrum Master for the Security Operations team along with developing best practices for Agile delivery across the Information Security organization. You will lead security incident response after action reviews and root cause analysis and be accountable for documenting remediation items and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. You will lead multiple complex Information Security projects and be accountable for the quality of the results, benefits realization, end user satisfaction and timely delivery, ensuring that projects are planned and executed in a manner consistent with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards. Ultimately, you will play a key role in defending Gartner's network and intellectual properties.

  • Enable the most productive Agile teams possible by applying Lean-Agile principles and metrics.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives.
  • Lead security incident response after action reviews and root cause analysis and be accountable for documenting remediation items and ensuring they are executed in a timely manner.
  • Roll up sleeves and pitch in on analysis, documentation, testing, design, and development of solutions.
  • Lead the successful delivery of high profile Programs/Projects for the Information Security Organization, ensuring high quality delivery of projects that are on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate and engage with cross functional IT groups to identify resource, task, and project interdependencies. Communicate across related areas of Gartner IT and business units to ensure alignment and leverage shared capabilities.
  • Partner with Internal communications and change management teams to coordinate project deployments impacting associates and clients.
  • Work closely with the Information Security and Technology Leadership teams to help define a strategy and associated roadmap to evolve our technology services and platforms.
  • Improve the productivity of the team by monitoring key metrics, hosting team retros and acting upon process enhancements.


What you'll bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in a relevant IT role that required project management skills, preferably in a large, complex global organization.
  • 2+ years of experience in executing projects in Agile Scrum Methodology
  • Proven record of optimizing processes and managing project teams that include both IT staff members and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in JIRA, Confluence, Spreadsheets, and Slides.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear/concise documentation, presentations and communications for many different stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, communication, and collaboration skills.
