Job Description

Overview
The Sr. IT Systems Engineer acts as a trusted expert in the decision making and implementation of automated Infrastructure solutions leveraged by Product Teams and Application Developers
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop, document and communicate standard patterns for implementing automated infrastructure technologies
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to create and maintain an architectural alignment. Heavily contribute to the HAVI infrastructure landscape and the roadmap for further automation development
  • Eliminate barriers to business growth, organizational agility and innovation
  • Collaborate with IT security to design and implement right-sized security controls throughout the environment
  • Engage in governance formation and enforcement in close cooperation with Architects and Product Owners and embedded in programs and projects and the formal governance processes
  • Conduct regular Market analysis and impact analysis. Identify and facilitate the application of new technology and disruptive developments


Desired Skills & Experience
ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Infrastructure related Certifications preferred (MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, etc)
  • ITIL certification is preferred
  • Cloud Certifications a plus (AZ 301 - AZ 304, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Other Technical certifications, e.g. CCNA, are a plus
  • 10+ years of experience working in Information Technology
  • 7+ years operational engineering or support experience providing solutions and support in a Windows, Linux and/or cloud environment
  • 5+ years demonstrated skills in incident and problem management related to infrastructure environments
  • Experience with Configuration Management, Agile, Lean IT, DevOps practices
  • Basic understanding of the ITIL framework.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Foundational understanding of modern security-based Tiered Access controls and implementation approaches on Identity-based Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of modern Zero-Trust principles and architectures
  • Strong understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies and platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V)
  • Strong understanding of IT security topics and standards (NIST, ISO, etc.)
