Sr. Java FullStack Developer

What you will bring to the team.

This role is for a Senior Software developer who will work with the latest technologies in the marketplace to help our customers modernize and transform their business. This candidate must have knowledge of all stages of software development. This opportunity will provide the candidate with the chance to work on a microservices based platform and help code, lead, and design functional deliverables.

You’ll be working alongside other experienced engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our platform.

What you will be doing:

• Participate in the requirements, design, development, and test/debug client code using Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS and Vue JavaScript
• Resolving Unit, Functional and field defects
• Resolves typical technical challenges requiring a moderate to complex scope of domain and discipline knowledge.
• Interfaces with internal & external teams to ensure alignment of deliverables.
• Work directly within the development team and stakeholders to help with existing requirements, adhere to timelines, and meet deliverables.
• Learn and apply the knowledge about TGCS product offerings and how clients use them.

Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years professional experience in Java software development.
• 2+ years of Web Development experience, particularly customer facing applications.
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design.
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures.
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Experience in the implementation of microservice-based applications with Spring boot.
• Proficiency in Docker containerization technology for application deployment and management.
• Deep technical skills in web development technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML/JSON)
• Experience with Cloud based applications.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems.
• Development experience for web, mobile and desktop applications.
• Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
