Sr. Java Software Engineer - Remote (Req. #494)

Mindex's Software Development division is the go-to software developer for enterprise organizations looking to engage teams of skilled technical resources to help them plan, management, requirements planning, design, architecture, development, testing, and support navigate, and execute through the full software product lifecycle, including project.

We seek a candidate who is a strong technical contributor with leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understands customer requirements; develop tasks to accurately reflect those requirements
• Designs and develops technical software solutions
• Determines the scope and methodology for testing requirements
• Participates in cross-functional collaboration with other teams to determine dependencies and roadblocks to ensure effective and efficient implementation of solutions
• Reviews and supports documentation of each aspect of an application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
• Validates code quality as an active participant in pull requests
• Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five+ years of software development experience in Java, .NET, Python, and/or JavaScript
• Five+ years of experience in test automation
• Experience with enterprise development in an Agile environment
• Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
• Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services
• Experience with defect tracking software
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with object-oriented programming
