Sr. Lead Development Mgr
Job Description
The Sr Lead Development Manager manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Team Leaders that completes the analysis, programming, and configuration of IT Systems Software. This job coaches team members on best methods of software development and operational goal setting. Working with the leadership team, this job provides team and project leadership for software development activities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Acts as Train Lead in SAFe Agile environment leading management and deliveries of an Agile Release Train.
- Partners with Product Management, User Experience and business teams to define and estimate scope.
- Managing a 6-quarter delivery roadmap
- Oversees development, testing and delivery of Plan Increment goals and functional capabilities.
- Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation and development of team.
- Defines scope and objectives for software development team goals.
- Reviews the configuration, customization, diagnosis and enhancements of the operating systems software.
- Communicates and implements the strategic direction of the operation.
- Approves the development and implementation of new products, processes and operational plans.
- Provides the highest level of advice and recommendations to maximize the outcomes of development investments.
- Interviews candidates for open roles within the team and provides recommendations throughout hiring process.
- Collaborate with IT partners to devise capacity plan and ensure appropriate infrastructure for the end-to-end system delivery.
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

Required Skills:
- 8+yrs of hands on experience with Java, J2EE & Information Architecture
- Experience and comfort presenting and demonstrating software deliveries to varying levels of the organization including Sr. Leadership
- Experience in UI frameworks (Angular, HTML, Java Script, HTML5, JSP, Ajax)
- Experience with Spring, Spring Integration
- Experience with service oriented architecture and REST, JSON, XML, SOAP
- Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle, SQL, NOSQL
- WSDL,WADL, RAML on API services
Desired Skills:
- Experience operating within the SAFe agile process; certifications such as "Implementing SAFe", "Leading SAFe" or "SAFe for Architects" preferred
- Database Design - DDL, DML
- Microservices extracting data from SQL, NOSQL databases
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with PowerPoint

Base Pay Range: $138,800/yr. - $236,800/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
