Sr. Lead, Software Support

The Northern Trust Company seeks a Sr. Lead, Software Support to develop, maintain, and enhance software applications for non-legacy/non-mainframe systems. Develop and maintain computer programs, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and installation. Conduct preliminary analysis for software development projects. Troubleshoot production issues, including job failure, and apply code fix. Evaluate and make recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance business needs. Improve production stability, enhance IT maturity, and increase business partner/capability owner satisfaction. #LI-DNI

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience must include a minimum of: 7 years of experience with software production support, including improving Production Stability and Availability; 5 years of experience leading maintenance for custom software applications and performing root cause analysis and problem management; 5 years of experience with coding and debugging software applications; 5 years of experience working closely with product owner, business users, and other IT teams to elicit requirements; 5 years of experience performing code and unit testing; 5 years of experience with ticket workflows, use of escalation, and maintaining and reviewing business SLAs; 5 years of experience with incident management, including ensuring consistent communications and complying with ITSM Processes and Procedures; 5 years of experience with managing Annual BCP/DR planning and execution and capacity planning; 5 years of experience with maximizing resources flexibility, cross training, and improving process consistency; and 5 years of experience with Java, .NET, Perl scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
