Job Description:
o Deep knowledge of best practices for financial planning and forecasting
o Drive formal processes and framework for the Company's annual operating plans including leading planning forums, maintaining planning cadence, remediating challenges, and delivering insightful analysis and reporting surrounding the plan
o Partner on the Company's forecasts including analysis of segment performance versus KPI's, generation of value-added reporting and commentary on outlook trends and compilation of the forecast deck for executive review
o Lead formal process for developing standardized reporting for the company's key stakeholders
o Align planning and drive consistency across business segments and shared services divisions to ensure standardization and comparability across all units
o Partner with segment finance teams to develop and measure KPI's and other metrics that drive business performance and highlight business insights for executive and operational leadership
o Coordinate development of board presentations to succinctly communicate financial performance, operating plans, KPI's, forecasts, company performance, and other metrics
o Lead process to analyze financial trends and business performance; model EPS and other financial metrics
o Model and analyze the company's finance performance and outlook against market consensus and earnings guidance; develop value added reporting to understand outcomes for internal review as well as for communication to board, shareholders, analysts, creditors and other stakeholders
o Communicate and establish relationships with segment and business unit finance teams on a regular basis, supporting closure alignment on company priorities, timelines and revenue / EBTIDA expectations
o Drive creation of quarterly financial decks for the office of the CFO including analysis and drivers, financial bridges, capital spend analysis, KPI's, and other metrics relevant in driving the business
o Manage creation of analyst decks used for investor days, road shows, conferences and stakeholder meetings
o Maintain and enhance executive reporting book and dashboards that provide insight into the financials and operating metrics that are driving company performance in relation to plan, prior year/quarter performance and forecasts
o Leverage technology to streamline planning and forecasting and monthly / quarterly review processes and maintain such databases to ensure accurate and proper presentation of such financials
o Drive companywide quarterly review process between corporate and operations teams
o Instill best practices in the planning and forecasting roles that enhance accuracy, visibility and timeliness into the process
o Lead strategic projects as needed
o Ability to manage and meet deadlines
o Willing to travel for business as requirements dictate
Job Qualifications:
- 7+ years of finance experience in FP&A or finance roles
- 3+ years managing finance activities for a public or large private organization
- Experience leading planning efforts for an organization with multiple functional groups
- Ability to set a vision for a project or initiative and execute in the face of challenges and constraints
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to visualize process change and its implementation
- Knowledge of leading financial planning technologies and systems
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Equivalent combination of training, education, and work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- MBA and CPA a plus
- Must have strong communication skills, written and oral
- Team player who is hands-on and leads by example. Works together with the team to ensure overall success
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-pace, evolving environment
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership at various levels from executive management to operational staff
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Willing to travel for business as requirements dictate
