Sr. Linux Systems Admin/Engineer - On-Site

As a Sr. Linux Systems Admin/Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to assist in the analysis, development, and configuration of our existing software and systems that address business requirements and processes. You'll be responsible for evaluating the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of our systems, establishing and documenting system parameters and formats, ensuring hardware and software system compatibility, coordinating and/or modifying system parameters, and revising our existing systems and testing functionality of those systems. You'll correct deficiencies and produce more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 10 or more years of relevant experience
  
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• 5 + years experience implementing and supporting AWS and Azure Cloud Operations
• 5 + years' Experience implementing and supporting VMware (VRealize, VRealize Operations, VRealize Automation)
• 5 + years' Experience with IT Operations Monitoring Tools (PRTG, VROperations, Solarwinds)
• Strong knowledge of Apache and NGINX proxy technologies
• Ability to Trouble shoot Network connectivity between Server Infrastructure
• Certifications - AWS Cloud Foundations, Azure Fundamentals

Preferred:

• Certified red hat, system, admin strongly desirable.
• Experience with Puppet software
• Two of the following:
  
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
