Sr. Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist and Instructional Design/Developer - HR

This position is the primary system administrator for the LMS (Cinch University) including all system updates and upgrades, as well as tools and software integrated with the LMS. Provides administrative support and accountability for the LMS including daily administration, reporting, employee inquiries/education on the LMS. Consult with internal customers serving as the subject matter expert for the Learning Management System (LMS) and continuing operations of the system to serve the learning needs of the organization.

Utilizes adult learning methodologies, instructional design methodologies, learning strategies and technology to develop curriculum content, training materials, training modules, job aids and manages all aspects of learning & development programs that supports organizational effectiveness.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Execute on strategy and processes for curriculum and learning programs.
  • Works on assignments dealing with the routine and daily operation, use, and configuration of the LMS. To include the user interface within the LMS, functionality, appearance, tabs, settings, delivery, and maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions.
  • Continuous user & implementation support, creates user profile/logins, assign user permissions, and manages user structures including the creation of user groups.
  • Collaborates with the business and HR Business Partner on training needs and opportunities for the expansion of talent development within the organization. Works with department leaders to identify and refresh the course asset library.
  • Creates and manages the overall course structure in the LMS and sets up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer and customer requirements.
  • Setup training programs, learning plans, track attendance, completion, and certification through the Learning Management System (LMS) Cinch University.
  • Tracks course revisions and history.
  • Publishes and archives courses (online, blending and instructor led), assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources.
  • Builds online assessments, surveys, and evaluations in LMS for courses.
  • Manages course enrollment including progress tracking, and key initiatives, including compliance training and onboarding certification.
  • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports, and review training report/dashboard to manage individual and team development.
  • Analyze data and recommends solutions to utilize the LMS to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements.
  • Serves as point of contact for escalated support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendor and other vendor support services.
  • Responsible to create and maintain standard operating procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of the LMS.
  • Create and maintain resources (technical procedures and policy documentation) to train users on the LMS tool and functionality, how to login and navigate course offering.
  • Develops curriculum and learning materials including facilitator/instructor and participant manuals, course proposals, course agendas, course outlines, exams, training videos, and web-based training modules.
  • Provides planning, designing, developing, documenting and evaluation during the development and redevelopment of instructor led and online courses.
  • Designs and develop interactive media solutions through programming and authoring of training content using a variety of delivery methods such as: eLearning, micro learning, CBT (computer-based training), print, video, and classroom.
  • Acts as consultant to internal customers to build customized Learning plans for professional development and career paths.
  • Works with the internal Information Technology teams, facilitators, and instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system functionality and software systems (such as, accessing the LMS, course content, system functionality and performance).
  • Supports other duties and any key projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an LMS administrator, applying LMS technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years related experience in instructional design and course development in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of eLearning technologies, such as authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate) and design/development tools (e.g., SnagIt, Camtasia, Photoshop software, and voice recording/editing software.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, creative training techniques and training practical application skills required.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, course development methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, and Kirkpatrick's training evaluation levels).
  • Demonstrated expertise in eLearning instructional design, using industry best practices.
  • Flexibility in work schedule and travel as required.
  • Must provide a portfolio of your work or demonstrated capabilities to be considered for an interview.


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4-7 years' experience in LMS administration, instructional design, and course development in a corporate environment or a combination of education and experience.
