About the role:

Meaningful Gigs is quietly rolling out a new product, separate from our creative marketplace, which helps speed up creative tasks. In this product, we have various AI powered features that automate repetitive creative tasks. As our first dedicated Machine Learning Engineer, you will evolve these AI features to become faster, more accurate, and more powerful. In doing so you will set the foundation for Meaningful Gigs’ Machine Learning practice. You will help us create an efficient training and evaluation pipeline as well as train new models and improve how we use our existing ones. You will also write the code to use the models in production - building internal APIs and data transformations. This role is part engineering and part practical research.

What is exciting about this role:

• Push the boundaries of what AI can do: we are solving specialized problems for our customers that go beyond what OpenAI and its peers have to offer. We have a product that works, and customers are happy using it, but we are taking it to the next level.
• Set the foundation: this is our first dedicated ML role. You will have the opportunity to choose the tools and architecture for the next generation of our ML infrastructure.
• Impact: With the explosion of Gen AI in the creative industry, this is a critical role in our quest to improve how creatives work. Our goal is not just to speed up creative workflows but also to educate and help junior creatives perform at the level of seniors. Our AI tools are at the center of that transformation - ultimately, advancing human creativity.

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of practical web engineering experience, preferably in Python or JavaScript
• At least 2 years of experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and language or vision models.
• Proficiency with end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data preparation, training, evaluation, and deployment
• Comfortable communicating clearly and often, and raising your hand when you have questions. Excellent written communication skills are required
• You are excited to be part of the product process. You are effective when working independently because you prioritize based on how your work will impact users

*This is a remote position, with working hours aligned with the US East coast.
