The Sr. Operations Manager Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, 2U Operations to join our organization. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations at a national level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in asset acquisition, cost optimization, P&L control, team leadership, multi-location remote management, customer-centric decision-making, and team development. Additionally, the Senior Manager of Logistics will play a crucial role in revising and standardizing the launch of new markets and developing the long-term strategy for the organization's structure.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Sr. Manager of 2U Operations role? 

Day-to-Day Logistics Operations:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day logistics operations on a national scale.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Cost Optimization and P&L Control:

    • Identify opportunities for cost optimization throughout the logistics process.
    • Analyze financial data and develop strategies to control costs and maximize profitability.
    • Monitor and manage the P&L for the logistics department, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.

    Team Leadership and Development:

      • Provide strong leadership to the logistics team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
      • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching.
      • Identify talent gaps and develop training and development plans to enhance team capabilities.

      Multi-Location Remote Management:

        • Effectively manage and coordinate logistics operations across multiple locations.
        • Establish and maintain strong communication channels with remote teams.
        • Implement processes and technologies to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.

        Customer-Centric Decision-Making:

          • Foster a customer-centric mindset within the logistics team.
          • Make data-driven decisions to enhance customer satisfaction and meet service level agreements.
          • Implement processes to capture customer feedback and continuously improve service quality.

          New Market Launch and Long-Term Strategy:

          • Lead the revision and standardization of launching new markets.
          • Develop long-term strategies for the organization's logistics structure, taking into account growth opportunities and market trends.
          • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth market launches and alignment with overall business objectives.

          What are the requirements for the Sr. Manager of 2U Operations role? 

          • Experience managing operations with laundry and/or delivery based businesses is preferred
          • Proven experience in asset acquisition and managing day-to-day logistics operations at a national level.
          • Strong financial acumen with experience in cost optimization and P&L control.
          • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
          • Experience in managing remote teams across multiple locations.
          • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions to enhance customer satisfaction.
          • Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term plans and execute them effectively.
          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
          • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
          • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
