The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for a Sr. Manager, Advertising & B2B to join our Communications team! This is a senior and highly strategic role based in NYC, focused on driving Snap’s narrative around our advertising business with a key end goal of increased consideration and adoption among marketers. We are seeking a communication leader with fluency in digital marketing, and deep experience in both media relations and collaboration with senior business executives. As a key member of the Communications team, you will help write, shape, and drive Snap’s business communications narrative, proactively pitch and land strategic B2B-focused press stories, handle reactive media inquiries, and work on Snap’s B2B public speaking strategy.

What you’ll do:


  • Work directly with senior Snap executives to determine and drive Snap’s advertising narrative and increase consideration and adoption of Snapchat advertising among marketers

  • Take a leadership role in formalizing and furthering Snap’s B2B public speaking strategy

  • Work closely with Comms team members to identify and pitch news stories to marketing and tech media, across major new ad product launches, promotion of specific partner ad campaigns on Snapchat, and strategic stories furthering Snap’s overarching narrative. This often involves close and complex collaboration across multiple teams

  • Work across the company to plan and help execute strategic ad product launches, from writing launches and media FAQs, to securing creative assets and interfacing with external communications team

  • Regularly brief internal stakeholders on marketing industry news and trends to inform strategic decisions, as well as identify important media moments and short and long-term risks related to our narrative

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working with tech and business media, with marketing media experience a strong plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to contextualize and prioritize a high volume of information, while managing competing deadlines from internal and external stakeholders

  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and curiosity as well as a high level of professional integrity and confidentiality

  • Hands-on self-starters with a curiosity around business and the marketing industry

  • Collaborative team player who embodies our values of kind, smart and creative

  • Ability to collaborate across our Communications, Sales, Marketing, Product and Creative Strategy teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in communications or public relations

For NY based applicants: 

  • The base salary range for this position is $205,000-$295,000

  • This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus

  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs

For LA/SF based applicants: 

  • The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$280,000

  • This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus

  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
