To support these efforts, we are seeking a Manager of Employee Communications to join our Integrated Communications team. The Sr. Manager, Communications will report to the Director, Internal Communications, and is responsible for developing and executing employee communications strategies and programs. The person in this role partners in the integration of communication strategies across the company and provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas with a primary focus on product portfolio, operational enhancements, employee systems and tools and project implementation. This individual will influence, shape and integrate strategies for functional area(s) by developing a strong knowledge of the business and functional priorities to create engaging, relevant communications that motivate employees to take action and support the change management efforts across Effectv.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic internal communications plans designed to support key business objectives, long-term goals, and projects; executes plan tactics, including online/digital, video, print, and others.

  • Partners with senior management to develop and implement broad-based Employee Communications, providing employees with messaging and related context for all key business initiatives.

  • Writes, edits and directs company-wide communications, such as personnel announcements, organization announcements, executive summaries and recaps, talking points and messaging, often at high volume and on tight deadlines.

  • Works with communication partners to ensure adequate awareness and understanding of communications plans.

  • Develops communications plans for key campaigns in partnership with Channel Strategy. Recommends actions based on metric results.

  • Provides tactical support and builds awareness with stakeholders to communicate company-wide news, operating plan initiatives, operational (system and tools) updates and streamlines access to employee resources.

  • Keeps communications fresh, creative, and engaging; regularly develop and explore new ideas, strategies and tactics.

  • Develops content for the company intranet, while helping to ensure that the articles and evergreen content being posted are timely and accurate and represent the company’s key business priorities.

  • Writes copy and develops content for Effectv newsletters, Leadership meetings and Effectv’s bi-monthly Town Hall events.

  • Handles tactical assignments with a sense of urgency and purpose.

  • Provides guidance and leadership for projects/initiatives.

  • Maintains the confidentiality and integrity of all communications materials.

  • Develops effective relationships across Comcast and Comcast Advertising partners and functional teams.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
