Forbes is seeking a creative Sr. Manager, Content Distribution & Partnerships to join our growing Audience Growth & Development team. 

The Sr. Manager, Content Distribution & Partnerships will serve as a key role, supporting our efforts to grow, expand and more effectively manage our content partnerships – This is a hands-on role.  Partner outreach could include but are not limited to brands, apps, websites, content aggregators and influencers. The Sr. Manager, Content Distribution & Partnerships will help develop strategies, identify optimization opportunities, and execute day-to-day tactics to increase site traffic. The manager will execute all aspects of a partnership from beginning to end including initial outreach to creating final project recaps. The position, reporting into the VP, Audience Growth & Development will work collaboratively with our editors, technology and growth team to help grow our audience. To excel in this position, you will need a passion for content, strong creative instincts and skill sets, plus an understanding working with aggregators and building partnerships.

This is a remote role with an option to commute to the Jersey City Forbes office if desired.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for developing & executing a content distribution strategy to drive quality traffic, PVs, ultimately leading the bottom-line revenue numbers.
  • Develop and manage the content acquisition process from end-to-end, including evaluating and sourcing new opportunities.
  • Work with the BI team to report on the performance of traffic from listings and effectively communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for management, planning and optimization of marketing spend on all aggregator & partner sites.
  • Partner with editorial and digital colleagues to innovate and expand our reach and support digital editors to publish stories in a variety of outlets.
  • Source & execute new paid & organic opportunities for content distribution through content aggregators, brands, apps, influencers and more.
  • Bring new ideas to the table and make the case for new formats of content development for distribution.

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience running content distribution strategies and working with content aggregators for a major publisher or brand, preferably in a topic related to one or more of our coverage areas.
  • Expertise in working and developing strategies with Flipboard, Apple News, Yahoo and others in a similar role.
  • Must have good communications skills with the ability to confidently present performance, provide ongoing recommendations on the latest industry trends to seniors.
  • A passion for emerging content development, funding and monetization opportunities in the digital media space.
  • A team player and great communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.


The annual base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
