As a Core US Strategy Senior Manager you will help build a new team at Grubhub that owns the company's core strategic development and execution. Our team will be responsible for helping craft, refine, execute, and track Grubhub's core strategic pillars, including leading the Key City Strategy initiative.
You will work closely with (and report directly to) the Head of Core US Strategy, focused on developing city-specific strategies and leading their implementation across the organization.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, a creative problem solver, an analytical whiz, an organized project manager, and is excited about working on the company's most complex and important problems.

The Impact You Will Make:

• Working with the Head of Core US Strategy and SVP of North American Strategy to develop, implement, and monitor Grubhub's annual strategic plan
• Tackling critical Grubhub strategic questions (e.g. how do we drive higher order frequency within our most valuable customer cohorts?) and collecting the data, conducting the analysis, and assembling the materials necessary to develop a preliminary answer
• Developing city-specific strategies and leading their implementation across the organization
• Identifying strategic and execution risks and developing mitigation strategies
• Owning and maintaining KPIs, dashboards, and visualization tools to measure progress against key initiatives
• Collecting market level research to track the macroeconomic environment and competitive landscape to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that will enable Grubhub's growth
• Preparing and presenting executive and Board level recommendations to highlight progress, risks, opportunities, and key decisions
• Helping to build out the US Core Strategy team including the culture, processes, work ethic, and traditions that will make the team successful

What You Bring to the Table:

• Relevant experience - you have 7-10 years of experience in Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or Investment Banking/Private Equity.
• Data and presentation expertise - you can use data to develop and hone insights and then clearly present the "so what" to your colleagues.
• Proven ownership - you have a proven track record of driving change.
• Curious & strategic thinker - you can think broadly in the context of the wider organization and leverage multiple data points/perspectives to arrive at an answer.
• Project Management / Stakeholder Management - you are comfortable leading initiatives across the organization and overseeing complex projects including with stakeholders that do not report directly to our team.
• Great teammate - you are the kind of person that people across the organization want to work with.
• Hungry - you are energized by working on the most important projects at the Company and the learning and growth opportunities that are unique to this team.
