Job Description
Are you an experienced communications professional looking for a new challenge and the chance to lead brand perception at a high growth company? Â
Higher Logic is seeking a Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications & PR, to help lead our company into our exciting future.  This critical role will help craft and will be responsible for executing corporate communications strategy for Higher Logic, expanding our market leadership while growing a new category and influencing the influencers. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, market positioning, press pitching, and media outreach, external communication updates, corporate social media management, thought leadership composition, supporting integrated marketing campaigns with aligned PR strategies, and delivering media initiatives for the Higher Logic portfolio of brands.Â

Responsibilities:Â
- In collaboration with executives and other colleagues, translate product and market positioning into compelling messages that that reinforce Higher Logic’s positioning as the leading company in its space.Â
- Drive awareness of the Higher Logic brand through earned media.Â
- Help develop and serve as the primary executor for external corporate communications, executive communications, and corporate media relations. Â
- Develop and execute monthly pitch plans and other press activations.Â
- Build strong partnerships with all brand stakeholders, driving a deep understanding of their desired brand positioning, business goals, and key initiatives to effectively guide external communications strategies.Â
- Actively pitch and position Higher Logic as a thought-leader and manage all external speaking engagements, awards, and opportunities, helping to develop content and serving as the day-to-day point person for all logistics.Â
- Realize a robust media relations function, delivering exceptional results by nurturing strong working relationships with business, financial, technology, and trade media.Â
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, lead the content strategy and execution for all external-facing Higher Logic social media properties, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and all other social media accounts (copy and content).
- Collaborate with digital team on Higher Logic site updates and alignment with paid media placements.Â
- Partner with Internal Communications and HR leadership on scheduling, messaging and positioning big company initiatives or updates and external messaging for Higher Logic’s corporate social responsibility programs.Â
- Manage and report on social listening for the Higher Logic brand, competitors, key customers, thought leaders and influencers in the industry.
- Analyze, measure & report on communication activations, developing a clear POV on takeaways, next steps and potential optimizations.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor's degree (Communications, Journalism, Marketing).
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations for a company or agency, preferably in a high-growth SaaS/tech industry environment.Â
- Eloquent writer and creative storyteller that is obsessed with identifying the most compelling hook, with a deep understanding of how to appeal to a wide array of audiences.Â
- Proven experience and leadership in driving comprehensive strategic communications, media relations and outreach programs that effectively anchor company mission and vision.Â
- Ability to drive influence across organizations with clear demonstration of internal cross-functional partnership and collaboration.Â
- Ability to work fast under pressure and deliver results as well as prioritize, organize and track details to meet deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.Â
- Relentlessly detail-oriented and an articulate writer capable of crafting and editing business pitches and releases, press releases, and thought leadership content.Â
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Â
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and hustle mentality.Â
- Proven ability with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Google Docs.Â
- Experience using tools such as Sprout Social, Bambu, Cision and Kit Kaster.Â
- Writing sample will need to be provide.Â
