General Summary

As a Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Insights, you understand the critical importance of data-informed decisions in achieving business success. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization has access to trusted, coherent, and comprehensive data, supported by a reliable infrastructure. Additionally, you will collaborate with teams both within and outside of Data Analytics to cultivate a data culture and improve data literacy across the organization. By working in close partnership with cross-functional teams, you will help to enhance our business instrumentation, enabling us to confidently measure performance, optimize expenses, and deliver the best possible value to our customers, with scalable processes and trustworthy data.

As the manager of the Data Analytics team, you are responsible for leading and developing a team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers. You work closely with the leadership team and collaborate with leaders from various departments, including Product Development, Marketing, Business Development, and Customer Services. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization, ensuring that insights are translated into actionable strategies that deliver measurable impact.

Core Functions

  • Collaborate with key business leaders across business functions and the data analytics team to identify and solve complex business opportunities with data.
  • Develop and grow the data analytics team members by providing actionable feedback, identifying areas for growth, and advocating for the resources supporting this growth.
  • Establish and manage company-wide processes to drive disciplined and consistent data management, including data dictionaries and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs).
  • Operationalize and maintain the BI reporting and analytics tool(s) that support stakeholders across the organization by allowing them to view vetted reports, access data directly when appropriate, and make informed decisions based on this data.
  • Lead the effort to continually improve the data culture and data literacy across the organization.
  • Support the team to disrupt, improve, and evolve ways of working when necessary.
  • Lead data engineering to proactively set and improve data architectures that enable the vision and maintain best practices.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance for the use of data and analytics within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading data-driven initiatives and projects.
  • Strong expertise in data analytics tools and techniques, including data modeling, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with SQL and other programming languages commonly used in data analysis.
  • Knowledge of data management principles and experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior analysts and building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about data-driven solutions to business challenges.

Desired Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Data Engineering or a related field.
    • Prior experience working as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of using statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to generate insights and inform business decisions.
    • Expertise in the highly competitive markets of endurance and strength training, with a deep understanding of the unique needs and preferences of both customers and products.
    • Experience with cutting-edge cloud-based analytical tools, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Sigma, Segment.

We seek those who value in-person collaboration and are willing to do so at our Louisville, CO office on a weekly cadence in accordance with the needs of the role and team. While some opportunities can be fully-remote, there is a minimum expectation of traveling to the Louisville, CO office for essential company events a few times per year. Applicants who are not within a reasonable commute, live outside CO, or require a fully remote environment will be considered for all roles that have the capability of fully remote work. Compensation

Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Colorado is $111,293 - $185,489. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment
