Sr. Manager Demand Creation Analytics
Job Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Sr. Manager, Demand Creation Analytics is responsible for advancing Demand Creation (DC) analytics capabilities by prioritizing the biggest opportunities for analytics, aligning and building data sources, selecting outside partners, and leading the DC Analytics and Analytics Agile program teams. This is a remote position but must be able to travel to World Headquarters in Buffalo NY up to 30% as needed
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
DC Analytics Strategy & Program Development• Develops Demand Creation analytics strategy and roadmap aligned with the long-term Digital Demand Creation strategy aligned with Director of Digital Demand Creation & Analytics and the Enterprise Analytics strategic priorities aligned with Sr. VP, Chief Data & Analytics Officer.• Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify the highest potential analytics use cases, the business requirements, and the expected outcome(s) of analytics efforts. Ensures that use cases are scalable and repeatable.• Models and frames business scenarios that are meaningful and positively impact critical business processes and/or decisions. • Identifies, selects, and manages analytics partner relationships supporting program objectives.• Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes as required. • Democratizes data and insights to deliver self-service tools to enable better decisions quicker.• Works with IT teams to support data collection, integration, and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business. Ensure the company's data is centralized into a single data lake and modeled.• Identifies and selects analytics partners to extend capability and aligns with needs of the business.• Accountable for leading a team to deliver results.
Analysis Leadership• Leads cross-functional team of internal and external resources to solve priority analytics problems and improve business outcomes.• Effectively communicates methodologies, results, and business impact.• Motivates team by championing a culture where associates test and learn; and employ agile approaches to accelerate path to value.• Works in iterative agile approach with the business and validates analytics design and findings. Identifies data gaps and sources information to support analytics projects.• Defines the validity of the information, how long the information is meaningful, and what information it is related to. • Oversees governance on modern data environment (MDE) and data catalog for Demand Creation. Oversees governance and data catalog for MDE; Defines data validity, storage and data lifecycle rules, and data relationship types.
Presents Findings & Drives Action• Presents results and effectively communicates recommendations that enable the business to act and drive outcomes in alignment with the Director of Digital Demand Creation & Analytics• Communicates relevant conclusions and recommends next best course of action in collaboration with the business in alignment with the Director of Digital Demand Creation & Analytics• Educates and influences the organization both from IT and the business perspectives on new approaches. Helps the organization understand the principles and process to drive organizational buy-in.
DC Analytics- Measures Impact• Measures impact based on findings to ensure execution of relevant outcomes and validation of hypotheses.• Provides business metrics for the overall use case to measure improvement vs hypothesis/target.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics or relevant field; MBA or MS in Analytics preferred.• Minimum eight (8) years of relevant quantitative and qualitative analytics experience.• Demonstrated business acumen; understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and financial performance; demonstrates a solid understanding of organization's key processes as well as the business hierarchies including sales channels, systems and processes. • Demonstrated ability to develop analytics solutions to loosely defined business problems and partner with business resources, internal team members and external analytics partners to drive value.• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms.• In-depth knowledge of industry standard methodologies, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies - along with their potential application to existing or future offerings.• Solid written and verbal communication skills including solid presentation abilities; demonstrated ability to influence to drive change & business outcome; demonstrated ability in collaborating, influencing and negotiating with all levels within the organization.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to navigate ambiguity, make recommendations and execute with limited information in a collaborative environment.• Demonstrated ability in successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience included Master Data, SAP (ECC and PLM). Knowledge of current technologies such as Azure, BI and MDM tools; marketing technology tools and solution sets. Business knowledge of the Demand Creation and CRM Processes. Business knowledge of the Demand Creation and CRM processes.• Technology (system), process and implementation experience required.• Solid software proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (intermediate to advanced level Excel and PowerPoint User)
