COMPENSATION: $140-$180k per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive with the target at 15% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager of Finance is a key strategic business partner in financial analysis, achieving long-term goals and operational management. This position is responsible for preparing and managing the company's annual budget, mid-term term plan and long-range strategic plan, developing financial targets and forecasts. This role requires deep understanding of all aspects of financial analysis and financial planning. The role will assist with market and product analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead financial analysis, forecasting and planning.
  2. Consolidate results of 3-4 life science businesses.
  3. Analyze monthly results in comparison to budget and forecasts providing insights and data to make key decisions to drive financial performance.
  4. Analyze data for business plans and proposals for new or additional products and services.
  5. Outline investment strategy and other financial goals for future periods.
  6. Provide complex analysis of monthly/quarterly financial statement results.
  7. Improve and maintain dashboards to communicate KPI's.
  8. Assess monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and KPI's.
  9. Drive ongoing process and system improvement.
  10. Provide team learning and development.
  11. Represent the Finance organization in cross-departmental projects and initiatives, ensuring changes to existing process/systems are covered by appropriate policies and internal controls.
  12. Collaborate and align financial analysis and planning with other related entities.
  13. Support future mergers and acquisitions.

EDUCATION:

  • BA in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field, MBA, CFA plus

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong accounting, financial forecasting/budgeting experience
  • Expert excel and data analysis knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in system implementation and development
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Problem solving, priority setting, planning, and delegation

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 years of progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Financial analysis - closing, planning, forecasting processes - 5+ Years
  • CRO/Pharma/Diagnostics industry experience is a plus
