Title: Sr. Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis
Location: Downtown Chicago (30 W. Monroe St.) or Remote
Role Description:
Reporting to the VP of FP&A, the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis leads a subset of the organization's P&L and other financial statement projections and will lead a team that is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and analysis of data that aligns Oak Street's business process and strategic goals with our financial goals. The ideal candidate will have relevant functional experience, be self-directed, and enjoy working with a team in a fast-paced environment, using their skills and experiences to identify opportunities for improvement and scale in service to our mission.
Core Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for ongoing reporting and analysis of monthly results (financial performance, variance to expectations, trending, KPIs, etc), as well as creation of monthly results packages for executive leadership and operational teams, with a focus on providing relevant insights that drive business decisions.
- Lead and provide support for all relevant planning cycles (long-range planning, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, etc.), including process development, establishment of timelines, identification of key stakeholders and ownership of cross-functional partnerships to establish assumptions and create operational buy-in.
- Ongoing business/investment decision support through pro-forma creation, ROI analysis, sensitivity analysis, valuation, etc.
- Partner with operational leads and leverage financial expertise to drive strategic decisions and provide actionable recommendations to business partners
- Ownership over financial systems, including developing additional functionality, streamlining forecasting processes and algorithms, and maintaining existing tools
- Manage FP&A associates and provide direction to the team by prioritizing workflows, delegating responsibilities and coaching teammates to further develop analytical and communication skills
- Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for motivated analysts with:
- 4+ years of FP&A experience with experience managing direct reports preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience in a highly-analytical, fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill sets
- Comfort with large data sets and ability to transform data into information and recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain financial data/information to a non-financial audience
- Ability to take direction, push analyses/processes to the next step independently, and oversee analyses and forecasting by others to ensure quality results
- Comfort in "managing-up" and working with executive-level partners
- Highly proficient with Microsoft suite and Adaptive Planning; experience with Workday, SAP, SQL, Alteryx, VBA, Python, and/or other financial analytical tools a plus
- US work authorization
