A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Sr. Manager Learning & Development will be responsible for the enterprise approach, strategy and delivery of all learning & development programs which involves developing a programmatic, targeted, and scalable approach to growing and developing our people through various stages of their career and job development: from onboarding through ongoing growth of depth of skillset as well as vertical growth; whether an individual contributor path or manager path. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the employee learning functions to engage and grow a diverse 2,000+ employee workforce. This role will also lead a team of training professionals who perform multiple functions on a project, including course facilitation and instructional design.
YOU'RE AWESOME AT:
- Responsible for the design, development, presentation and evaluation of employee and supervisor training programs designed for talent development and core employee training.
- Leads the design for all companywide training programs/initiatives, providing oversight over the e-Learning platform, development of participant guides, exercises, and job aids with the regional training specialists.
- Collaborates with and leads multiple Trainers & designers within the learning organization, and external learning industry partners.
- Ensures learning and development opportunities are engaging and impactful for our awesome employees and also for the broader business.
- Aligns best practices with the needs of the company to determine best strategy and approach as it relates to career frameworks, development strategies, and more.
- Partners with both leaders and employees in their development journey and leads by example when it comes to developing and facilitating trainings.
- Provides oversight and guidance related to the company performance management and succession planning process and works with corporate leaders to ensure integration and support.
- Helps identify professional development needs of the organization.
- Reviews existing programs for modern improvements and proposes adjustments or introduces new course content.
- Provides support and administration for the new hire on-boarding and training, organizational learning, learning administration, leadership development, career development and succession planning, and performance management.
- Ensures deliverables align with company strategies, goals and initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, wellness, and engagement. Provides regular reporting on KPIs and projects.
- Helps develop and implement development-focused training plans for individual employees, supervisors, managers and select potential high performers.
- Conducts needs assessments with key business stakeholders and leaders within the organization.
- Participates in and coordinates projects with other departments throughout the organization, providing human resource management expertise and perspective.
- Assists in the development of company staff by providing support to increase employee engagement and enhancing the effectiveness of employees' performance in the workplace.
- Partners with the Director of HR, training specialists, and senior management to develop and drive strategic workforce plans, processes and develop the workplace culture.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources/Organizational Development, Business Communication, Education/Training, Adult Education, Communications, Business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.Master's degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of total business experience, ideally in areas of Training & Organization Development/Effectiveness, Talent Management, Consulting, Leadership development, Organization Effectiveness or other related experience is required.
- 5+ years of experience managing direct reports.
- Working knowledge of talent management techniques and best practices to drive business performance.
- Thought and Influence leadership and trusted advisor on culture, engagement, and talent management issues.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing successful learning and development programs: manager/leadership development, product/technical training and development, and professional development.
- Experience in executive coaching and learning programs, a plus.
- Certification in at least 1 reputable leadership development programs (e.g. CliftonStrengths).
- Demonstrated track record with scalable online learning; as well as other blended learning programs.
- Demonstrated track record with learning programs as a part of change management. Experience with organizational development (OD) a plus.
- Experience working with 3rd party expert facilitators on learning programs.
- Experience with LMS implementations, a plus.
