Current Need:


We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Sr. Marketing Manager for our Strategic Accounts and Emerging Pharmacy Channels businesses. The Strategic Accounts segment is comprised of large national retail pharmacy accounts within the US and our Emerging Pharmacy Channels business is made up of emerging digital pharmacies. In this role, we are in search of a key contributor to our marketing team who is accountable for helping drive the execution, management, and support of identified strategic marketing initiatives that align with segment priorities and financial targets.

The ideal candidate loves to strategize and get stuff done! This individual has the market knowledge through research and data to understand our Strategic Accounts and Emerging Pharmacy Channels segments and will help drive both strategic projects as well as execute on our content strategy to support ongoing engagement both internally and externally. This individual will be integral in supporting the businesses and promoting our value.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Accounts and Emerging Pharmacy Channels Marketing Strategy and Insights

  • Partner with Director on strategic marketing initiatives such as value propositions, persona-based customer journeys, and an account-based marketing approach.

  • Produce and leverage internal and external content that clearly communicates value proposition, thought leadership, and key components of customer deliverables such as QBR’s and customer strategy session presentations.

  • Implement and execute against marketing strategies that drive customer growth and retention within a large healthcare company.

  • Effectively interpret and leverage market research to develop and present insights-driven content to segment leadership, as well as analyze that information to inform thought leadership content and communications.

  • Understand the changing healthcare industry and identifying short-term and long-term opportunities to help drive differentiated marketing approaches as needed.

Strategic Marketing Lead for Strategic Accounts and Emerging Pharmacy Channels Events and Sponsorships

  • Own and drive event and sponsorship strategies and the strategic execution by serving as the liaison to the corporate events and SCS teams for planning purposes and key deliverables.

  • Own the creation of sponsorship and event messaging to enhance and promote the segments value.

  • Ensure internal leadership and sales teams are informed and have the tools needed to effectively promote and communicate Strategic Accounts and Emerging Pharmacy Channels value.

  • Manage Budget – planning and forecasting all event and sponsorship costs in partnership with segment leadership, marketing leadership and the events team.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business and/or related field required.

Critical Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience executing strategic marketing initiatives.

  • Experience developing rapport and credibility across a complex, matrix organization.

  • Ability to influence without authority across all levels while maintaining an enterprise first mindset.

  • Effectively engage with executive leadership and demonstrate executive presence.

  • Experience collaborating and working cross functionally amongst various segments and business functions.

Additional Skills:

  • Self-starter with an intellectual curiosity and desire to learn our business.

  • Motivated to find new ways to address challenging and complex business issues.

  • Pro-active and resourceful in finding answers to questions or in solving problems.

  • Ability to act independently with sound business judgement.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge of other business productivity tools such as (Salesforce, Highspot, Monday.com, Workfront)

  • Vendor management experience

  • Flexibility to take on different roles and duties as required.

  • Healthcare industry preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Traditional office environment

  • Approximately 15% travel

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$104,000 - $173,300
