Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager,  Marketing Operations reporting to the VP of Business Operations & Strategy. This role will oversee all facets of marketing operations (MOPS) i.e.,marketo, processes, data and reporting, infrastructure, in close collaboration with other functions such as marketing, finance, IT and revenue ops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketo - 50%

• Serve as the Marketo admin and perform all day-to-day management and execution of Marketo programs such as lead nurture campaigns, landing page forms, email marketing, program creation and updates. Create sophisticated marketing automation campaigns, and build and maintain templates for marketing emails, newsletters, campaigns, and more.

• Own and manage the marketing contact database and perform all tactical functions such as database segmentation, list pulls, list uploads, and more. Monitor data flow and lead routing. 

• Responsible for support and maintenance of Marketo. 

Processes - 20%

• Optimize and document marketing operations strategy and processes 

• Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues and other key marketing ops functions 

• Continuously improve data intake and management workflows, including list cleansing, list uploads and overall marketing database hygiene

• Work in partnership with sales operations team on system integrations, database maintenance, automation, and strategic planning per team and business needs

• Develop and execute on new ideas (project plans, collaborations with internal and external teams)

Data & Reporting - 20%

• Data, reporting & measurement: Manage all aspects of market measurement strategy, including metrics and KPIs. Report/analyze what impact the marketing campaigns delivered.

• Provide advice and recommendations on best practices for lead management, campaigns & programs setup, lead score model, and other processes.

• Processes optimization & enablement: Achieve the right amount of structure/flexibility to support marketing goals and maintain industry best practices. Recommend changes and/or enhancements.

Infrastructure - 10%

• Manage vendors and 3rd party integrations with Marketo

• Ownership of Marketing Tech Stack

Pay Range Disclosure:

The base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to Qualifications, Geographical Location, Education/certifications, Experience, Skill Sets, Training, and other business and organizational needs. 

A reasonable estimate of the current range for the position of Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations 

This position may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program or commission plan, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong track record of successfully managing, building MOPS function in high tech B2B

• 2+ years of experience as a Marketo system admin; Marketo Certified is required

• 2-4 years in demand generation/marketing operations

• Excellent communicator: strong written, verbal and presentation skills with high attention to detail

• Proactive, self-motivated, organized, high-energy team player with the ability and flexibility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally

 Preferred:

• 2+ years hands-on experience with working with Salesforce

• BA/BS in marketing, business or computer science

• Experience in data-driven decision making

• Knowledge of lead lifecycles, email compliance and marketing database best practices
