Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager - Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for directing the preparation of the SEC compliant financial statements including cash flow statement, statement of equity, and certain footnote disclosures. This position is also responsible for maintaining the consolidation and financial reporting systems, managing staff, providing guidance to operational accounting teams as needed and preparing technical accounting research and memorandums. Position will interact closely with the VP of Reporting and Technical Accounting, Chief Accounting Officer and other senior leadership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual statements of cash flows and equity and review of the consolidated financial statements including Reg S-K and S-X requirements and subsidiary reporting requirements.
  • Direct and assist in the preparation of covenant compliance calculations associated with the company's credit agreement.
  • Interact with external auditors in completing the quarterly reviews and annual audits of the SEC financials and other filings.
  • Prepare comfort letter support.
  • Complete the monthly global financial statement consolidation and maintains the Company's consolidation software.
  • Direct and assist in the annual and triggering event impairment testing.
  • Become proficient in operation of the Company's financial reporting software.
  • Maintain documentation supporting SOX compliance.
  • Manage the filing of various government financial surveys.
  • Direct and assist in the accounting for stock-based compensation.
  • Prepare documentation and SEC filing support required for debt, equity and other special transactions.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos.
  • Assist in the implementation of new FASB accounting standards.
  • Provide support to assist with proxy, earnings release, earnings script, investor presentation and audit committee reporting.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA Certification.

Work Experience

  • 8-15 years of relevant accounting experience including experience in SEC reporting and global consolidations.
  • Strong U.S. GAAP foundation including understanding of recent GAAP standards.
  • Big 4 audit experience preferred.

Skills

  • Experience in researching and documenting GAAP issues and conclusions.
  • Experience managing staff in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
