Sr. Manager Revenue Assurance

Databricks is looking to fill the position of Sr. Manager of Revenue Assurance reporting to the Director, Global Revenue Assurance. You will support efforts for establishing best practices for revenue assurance and all revenue generating activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Company policies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a great communicator who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment and will take pride in representing Finance while establishing best in class policies. The impact you will have:

• Support various aspects of the Revenue close cycle by reviewing contracts, modifications, reconciliation files, and revenue estimate calculations to ensure proper application of ASC 606 and aggregate the required information for financial reporting and compliance.
• Continuously evaluate revenue assurance processes, controls, and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to mitigate risks and streamline operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sales, operations, and IT, to ensure alignment and coordination in revenue-related processes, systems, and initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on revenue assurance matters.
• Assess risks associated with revenue assurance and implement effective controls and processes to mitigate these risks. Develop and maintain a robust framework to monitor, report, and escalate revenue assurance risks to senior management.
• Analyze large volumes of data from various sources, including financial systems, customer records, and billing systems, to identify trends and maintain reporting metrics across the organization.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analyses as necessary to support the overall revenue assurance function.

What we look for:

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
• 9+ years of combined experience in public accounting and in a corporate revenue accounting role.
• Operational accounting experience in a growing SAAS technology business.
• Experience performing activities in the quote-to-cash process e.g. order review, revenue recognition, financial statement disclosures reporting.
• Project management and accounting systems development experience preferred.
• Experience using Netsuite and Salesforce preferred.
