Sr. Manager-Sales Operations
Job Description
The Senior Manager of Sales Operations manages a team in the areas of Business Process & Support, Business Reporting & Intelligence, Sales Training, Trade Strategies and Sales Technology. This individual provides visionary guidance, strategy and tactical direction to team leads so that the Sales Operations group successfully delivers against key elements of the corporate strategy.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Business Management and Oversight
- Develop pricing strategies that deliver Brand Marketing / AOP plans
- Engage regularly with Sales leadership around business opportunities and challenges
- Establishes Sales Operations strategy and promotes team engagement with the tactical elements of the strategy
- Promotes cross functional partnership through collaboration and cooperation to achieve shared goals
- Accountable for delivery of effective business systems and process
- Understands the dynamics of pricing, promotion, assortment and placement in the CPG industry
- Provides strategic direction from accrual generation, promotion management, post promotion evaluation and payback models
- Develops & facilitates the implementation of organizational policies
- Lead consistent improvement efforts across Sales Operations key business functions
- Define Sales reporting business needs to support data analytics and forecasting
- Oversee our Trade Funds system and responsible for ongoing business requirements
Organization Development and Personnel Management
- Lead to report to Director of Customer Marketing
- Coach individual performance to improve the contribution and results of team
- Demonstrate leadership and functional skill competencies, inspire and motivate team to achieve higher performance through resonant leadership.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related area is required
- 25% travel requirement
- 10+ years managing teams and projects
- Direct CPG experience preferred
- Background in Sales and Sales related technology
- Data analytic skills and capabilities
- Syndicated sales data software experience is preferred (i.e. IRI or Nielsen)
- Knowledge of merchandising, retail experience and logistical flow
- Finance background
- Trade fund system implementation experience

- Strong collaborator, relationship builder that effectively communicates across cross-functional teams
- Knowledgeable about Sales, Sales Systems, Project Management

- Ability to think of creatively and connect multiple data sources to illuminate business insights
- Team collaboration and voice of objectivity within cross-functional team
- Ability to work with agility and pivot in a fast-moving environment
- Advanced skills in using IRI, Unify platforms or syndicated data
- Good presentation skills and ability to engage cross functional teams in a collaborative manner

- Office demands include extensive use of telephone and computer.
