The Opportunity:Â
We are searching for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial sales leader to join our Mattel Canada Executive Leadership Team. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of account managers to achieve sales targets and business metrics, while also spearheading initiatives to build long term growth, focusing on sales optimization (i.e. B2B) and rapid ecommerce expansion. The successful candidate will be hungry for growth, someone who challenges the status quo and works strategically and collaboratively with internal and external business partners to achieve both Mattel and customer goals. People leadership and coaching is a critical focus area for this role.
What Your Impact Will Be:Â
- Deliver on planned business metrics including sales growth, margin and inventory targets for both Mattel and the customer.
- Foster positive relationships with senior level customer partners.
- Develop and execute strategic customer plans to achieve both Mattel and customer goals.
- Negotiate and manage customer P&L and trading terms.
- Develop game-changing solutions within a constantly evolving retail environment.
- Develop account specific omni-channel strategies and promotions.
- Lead the integration of Toy and Consumer Products within the customer.
- Optimize discretionary trade spends.
- Coaching and development, while providing direct reports with career feedback and guidance
- Excel at working collaboratively within customer team, other departments, business partners, SLT, ELT and within the global Mattel commercial team
- Spearhead long term growth initiatives for Mattel Canada, including sales optimization (i.e. B2B), rapid ecommerce expansion and DTC
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in sales working with national accounts, 5+ years of people leadership
- Amazon experience is an asset
- Forecasting experience
- Strategic visionary
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver profitable growth
- Excellent organizational & analytical skills
- Excels in a team environment
- Strong PC skills (Excel/Word/Power Point)
- Sales Force experience is an asset
