Sr. Manager, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy

The Sr. Director, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy plays a unique and transformational role with Equifax. Working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting teams to manage the financial reporting process through 10-K, 10-Q & earnings releases. In addition, the Sr. Director will be responsible for all technical accounting research, documentation and resolving external auditor questions.
What you'll do
- Lead the quarterly and annual financial reporting process through preparation of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases and all underlying supporting schedules and calculations
- Ensure the appropriate disclosures and reporting practices are implemented per GAAP and SEC standards
- Support the finance and accounting team with timely and insightful research, documentation, and guidance on technical accounting matters, including complex and non-standard transactions such as revenue recognition, leases, equity and debt matters, adoption of new standards, and general corporate accounting matters
- Completion of the quarterly disclosure checklists and other quarterly procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Support the external audit of the company's annual financial statements and quarterly review, including preparation of technical accounting memos and responding to auditor questions and requests
- Coordinate with the Financial Planning and Analysis team and line of business leadership to drive the preparation of the MD&A and portions of the Earnings Release
What experience you need
- Certified Public Accountant
- Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
- 6 to 8 years of related experience in accounting (Big 4 or large regional external audit experience preferred)
- Understanding of financial statement requirements and preparation (SEC required)
- Experience researching and concluding on technical accounting matters which could include revenue recognition, equity investments, consolidation, equity compensation, debt
- Ability to manage multiple projects and financial responsibilities to meet goals and objectives
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and Workiva preferred.
