Sr. Manager, Social Media
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Social Media is responsible for informing and executing organic social media campaigns and content to drive positive engagement, advocacy, and affinity for the CareSource family of brands. This role will bring stories to life through engaging content that resonates with followers and key stakeholders, and ensures compliance with all state and federal communications requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the strategy of organic social media content
- Develop an audience-focused campaign and content strategy for all social media channels.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of social media professionals
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, including other departments, agencies, and consultants
- Ensure content meets all appropriate state and federal communications requirements
- Manage employee social media training across the organization
- Conduct audience research and analyze data to inform social media strategies
- Oversee social media community management and engagement
- Develop crisis communication plans and manage response during critical incidents
- Utilize social media management tools and analytics platforms to track performance and optimize strategies
- Perform any other job-related instructions as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is required
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in social media communications planning and execution is required
- A minimum of three (3) years of social media management experience, including social content and community management is required
- A minimum if two (2) years in a management or supervisory role is required.
- Experience in audience research principles, methodology, and analysis is required
- Experience in crisis communication practices is required

- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop a social media team.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Knowledge of general business principles and industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of campaign planning and business analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, scheduling tools, and social media analytics.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and narratives.
- Ability to bring stories to life through engaging content that resonates with followers.
- Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, including other departments, agencies, and consultants.
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools to assess campaign performance and inform strategy.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives and ensure timely execution.
- Knowledge of state and federal communications requirements.
- Strong ability to deliver accurate, quality, error-free content.

- None
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional travel may be required to meet with partners and attend events.
- Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for campaign launches and events.
Compensation Range:
$90,500.00 - $158,400.00
