How You'll help us connect the world:

The Sr. Manager will direct and be a role model as a senior team member of the HFC Design Engineering Services team. Ensure the smooth day to day running of systems engineering services requirements and projects. To act as a point of escalation for the team the candidate should be able to Manage and lead all aspects of local, remote and contracted production activities and as requested, assist with global support needs, taking charge of critical issues, communication and resolution. To engage with customers on project requirements, delivery SLA's and status updates. Set goals and objectives for team ,mentoring and development opportunities while fostering excellent teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee delivering team members by providing senior engineering expertise for Optical and Hybrid-Fiber-Coax (HFC) networks

Build, train and maintain an effective team

Manage and direct projects including budget and business documentation

Identify resource needs and allocation, propose options for ongoing customer, systems and project support including resource forecasting

Continual Service Improvement to Systems Engineering Services initiatives as well as existing tools and technologies

Work to provide figures as part of the budgeting cycle and work towards cost saving initiatives throughout the year and report

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Management or equivalent experience

10+ years of Managing leadership experience within the HFC plant engineering/construction arena

Technical capability of an HFC Design team and how it functions

Be able to use current Design Engineering tools as well as understand complex operational designs

Process definition and continuous improvement methodologies

Understand Optical/HFC network design principles, including Hybrid Fiber RF design, FTTx and PON architectures

Understand and be able to demonstrate systems engineering in an operational environment

Able to work within a team both as a leader and as a team member

Must have excellent documentation skills

Adept to convey knowledge to customers, peers, and managers of widely diverse skill levels
