Job Description

Q2 is seeking a Training Manager to join our Service Delivery team. This experienced leader will be responsible for our client-facing training organization that trains financial institutions as they adopt our Digital Banking, Centrix, Gro, and Lending products. This position reports to the Vice President of Platform Operations and is accountable for the delivery of an effective training program for our clients, and for driving continual improvement in the effectiveness and experience provided to our customers. This role can be based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX, or can be remote within the continental United States.

In this job you will...

  • Work cross-functionally to understand the needs of the business and build a road map of ongoing improvements and scaling of the training team and our processes
  • Drive continual improvement and scaling of our training program via team-wide initiatives
  • Design course outlines, identifying supporting technical documentation, training exercises, and trainer notes for new products as they are launched and need to be incorporated into the program
  • Work with implementations managers across service delivery to schedule training resources
  • Grow the team membersโ€™ individual skills via one-on-one coaching and mentoring
  • Maintain a metrics-based reporting infrastructure to drive the business and report on performance
  • Identify ongoing resource needs of the team as part of our annual business planning process

It is required that the Training Manager be extremely strong in communication, both verbal and written. In this role the need to balance business needs and client needs is critical, so understanding the value of prioritization is essential. The optimal candidate should have a breadth and depth of training in enterprise software and the ability to communicate technical concepts to varying audiences. The optimal candidate will understand the priorities of the business and will continue to improve on our client experience as we grow our client pipeline.

  • Typically requires a Bachelorโ€™s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent relevant work experience. Typically requires 2-5 years managing and developing employees
  • Experience managing a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful experience driving projects across multiple teams in a group of peers that includes managers, senior managers, and directors
  • Knowledge of the craft (training techniques, best practices, and tools), as well as successful experience implementing across a team
