Yahoo is seeking a Pricing and Yield Manager to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to help drive Yield strategy for Yahoo's owned and operated businesses including the management of premium rate cards. The incumbent will ensure client satisfaction and Yahoo Advertising's business health through yield and profitability analysis, inventory price analysis; analyze deal or campaign performance; develop innovative alternatives to existing deals or campaigns; and communicate with partners and appropriate internal departments on these initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the rate cards for Yahoo and Microsoft inventory
- Maintain relationships and manages the day-to-day business relationships with internal publishers clients and identifies growth and upsell opportunities on key accounts
- Responsible for pricing, yield management and analytical guidance and develops quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, models, to support decision making
- Employs in-depth understanding of ad functionality, availability/supply and demand, and delivery mechanism to influence market rate card and pricing of custom ad packages
- Drives application of quantitative analysis to determine value maximizing inventory and pricing policy
- Monitors the competitive landscape to help with benchmarking and identifying new opportunities.
- Analyzes sales and monetization behavior to identify trends and optimize pricing
- Collaborates with cross functional groups to identify pricing and revenue opportunities
- Successfully tests and integrates new pricing and inventory segmentation models into improved operational processes
- Consistent knowledge sharing and sales training on yield and pricing strategies across different sales regions
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business analysis or selling experience in internet advertising industry
- Bachelor's degree in BS/ BA Economics, Finance or Accounting preferred. MBA or Masters a plus
- Must have a strong understanding of digital marketplace and understanding of the competitive landscape in which we operate
- Business analysis experience in digital advertising, particularly at top tier online publishers with multiple sales channels a strong plus
- Proactively anticipate customer's business needs and manage execution of client solutions through effective communication, problem solving and accuracy
- Experience working with Pricing and Yield Management tools to analyze inventory monetization and make pricing recommendation
- Able to work effectively and excel in a matrix organization and possess the ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills; excellent analytical skills; results and detail oriented; accountable; strong work ethic; strong team player; solid negotiation skills; proactive self-starter; creative/strategic thinker who is process oriented and has the ability to multi-task; outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems. Some technical knowledge preferred

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $111,750.00 - $186,250.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
