WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role requires extensive knowledge of global strategy with the vision to adapt execution to align with the regional business needs. As Sr. Marketing Manager, you will build and own an integrated marketing and communications strategy that tells the Cubic Transportation Systems story to internal and external audiences. You will manage all North and South America outreach and lead expansion in target markets, including branding, campaigns, internal and external communications, tradeshows and events, and customer and partner engagement. This position will typically work under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the development and execution of a multi-channel field marketing strategy.

  • Develop a database for each region, including key organizations, partnerships, events, competitors, customers, etc. and create a communications plan that targets these groups.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on execution of campaigns and product launches, including contributions to regional and national marketing campaigns by defining goals, writing copy, and working cross-functionally on design and execution.
  • Engage with the Strategy team to support outreach efforts to key associations.
  • Identify and build contacts of internal and external subject matter experts to help in campaign strategy and execution.
  • Define participation and sponsorships for virtual and in-person events for each assigned market.
  • Represent Cubic at major industry or company events as needed.

  • Identify growth opportunities and partner with the business development team to strategically cultivate new markets.
  • Develops and implements measurable and engaging communications strategies that support companywide projects and initiatives.
  • Develop corporate, brand and product messaging for PR, social, digital and customer relations activities. Materials include, but are not limited to, press releases, FAQ's, fact sheets, media statements/quotes and copy for emails, website and social.
  • Works with leadership on the global crisis communications plan, including all written documentation, communications, and coordination with stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree or equivalent in journalism, public relations, communication or marketing, plus a minimum of eight years of developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%. Direct media experience is desirable. Complete understanding of Associated Press style and format. Ability to write technical, often complex material in a clear understandable manner for news media and internal sources. Ability to produce professional, high-quality news releases that satisfy Company and media requirements. Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management to obtain cooperation and information essential to the development of media materials. Able to prioritize work, execute and complete multiple tasks, and work under tight, often difficult, deadlines. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a preferred skill but not a requirement. Transit industry experience is also preferred. #LI-hybrid

Additional Information

(San Diego only***) Targeted full-time salary range between $150,000 - 170,000 + benefits.
