Reporting to the Associate Director of Global Marketing and Product Management, the Sr. Marketing Manager is accountable for the strategic and tactical product management responsibilities for key products within BD Medication Management's portfolio of infusion devices. The role supports new product development by: serving as commercial lead on development core teams; leading planning and execution of marketing activities to ensure successful product launch and revenue performance;; In addition, this person will be responsible for elevating the overall strategic thinking of the global marketing team, defining growth strategies and executing effectively in a shifting and dynamic marketplace.

About the role:

The role is accountable for marketing work-stream deliverables supporting new product developmentThe candidate routinely collaborates with cross functional team resources including: Marketing associates, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Medical, and R&D.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drives execution of program objectives, including progressing product development by providing commercial and customer insight to inform decisions on features, pricing, and launch timing.
  • Guiding products through early concept phase to development.
  • Developing commercialization strategy across multiple internal teams and 3rd party partners
  • Develops expertise on customer buying process, market segmentation, and competition to create strategies to win in the market.
  • Able to generate novel ideas for defining, implementing, and bringing to market new products and technologies; ensures that customer perspectives are appropriately incorporated into every aspect of product development.
  • Developing financial models to support opportunity assessment and product/portfolio prioritization
About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, and lead early product development through life cycle management.

  • Solid medical knowledge with the ability to engage in scientific discussions with colleagues, customers. and KOLs.
  • Creative out-of-the-box mindset, intellectually curious, current on new trends, and able to take calculated risks with new ideas.
  • Comfortable making decisions on product features and roadmap, informed by customer needs and financial impact
  • Strong leadership presence.
  • Passion for unifying cross functional teams and generating internal excitement around opportunities.
  • Excellent organization skills.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in science or business. MBA or advanced degree a strong plus.
  • 5 years + of relevant product management, marketing and/or commercial experience in healthcare or other medical technology/life sciences.
  • Prior experience in a clinical role is a strong preference.
  • Travel within the US and globally to BD locations, industry events and customer sites at least 25% of the time.
