About the Role:

Do you have a knack for creating experiences that people can’t stop talking about way after it’s over? Do you want to be an integral part of establishing Platform Science as a thought leader in the transportation industry? 

Platform Science is looking for a Sr. Marketing Tradeshow Manager to help create a trade show program that stands out in the industry while managing the full event logistics and promotions. The Sr. Tradeshow Manager will plan and execute trade shows, events and tactics aligned with the overall marketing strategy to support maximum brand awareness and pipeline generation. In addition, you will oversee our Connected Vehicle Lab Roadshow, a unique field marketing program that differentiates our company in the market. You will collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure cohesive strategy and greatest possible return on investment. This position is an integral component of the marketing funnel and will help grow our business.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and execute logistics for in-person client events, including trade shows, seminars, and hosted events. Special focus will be placed on a year-long roadshow.
  • Oversee management of enterprise-wide trade show selection, execution, calendar, and significant budget.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product to ensure individual event strategies and messaging align to integrated demand generation campaigns and other relevant marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy to increase client engagement.
  • Oversee events measurement, including client engagement, lead generation, return on investment to analyze, and report on impact of events as well as measuring objectives for events by type, size, and location.
  • Manage day-to-day oversight of and communication with third-party events vendors and trade show representatives to ensure consistent and efficient execution of all shows.
  • Proactively engage with direct and indirect sales teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of event activities.
  • Effectively communicate event plan and logistics with all relevant stakeholders through various channels, including, but not limited to: core team meetings, event email updates, ad hoc presentations, and executive briefing documents.
  • Support other marketing activities and duties as needed 
  • 60%-70% travel 

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience successfully managing events and other marketing projects successfully.
  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, or software companies
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Trello, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Preferred experience using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce 
  • Familiar with martech tools such as MailChimp, Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, and Google Analytics a plus
  • Comfortable with networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player!
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
