The Global I&O Operations Senior Manager is a global role and responsible for all infrastructure operations. This includes capital investment proposals and owning approval processes for all projects to meet operational goals. The candidate should be taking ownership of IT Infrastructure project portfolio and timely and accurate project reporting. The role is primarily in charge of spearheading and overseeing the efforts to maintain and develop strategy for Global I&O operations. Provides advisory services and actively collaborates in project planning, budget planning and management. Also, take ownership to enhance business operations performance and report trends and opportunities for GDC operations.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the I&O technology operating budget including managing both Capital and Expense spend; Participate and contribute to planning and implementation of IT infrastructure
• Understand the organization's IT business vision and develop IT Strategy and standard for the I&O portfolio's infrastructure and operational services
• Deliver priority Infrastructure Operations, infrastructure projects
• Support and administer the portfolio strategy and future direction. Responsible for the Operations lead of a team and for the delivery of the overall operational metrics & targets
• Establish operational standard, KPI and SLA to ensure good smooth and high performance of IT infrastructure operations.
• Define continuous improvement opportunities including automation of processes
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and personnel must be coordinated or interfaced
• Drive ITSM OR ITIL processes and implement standard
• Set up tools to monitor performance and provide analytics for system stability, capacity planning and management.
• Respond to Business continuity, Audit, Regulatory and business customer requests
• Contribute to wider Technology initiatives and innovations

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration. (Masters preferred.)
• Preferred to have certifications for this position: ITIL, CCNP, CCNA, PMP
• Significant IT experience (10+ years of relevant work experience), with at least 5 years as a manager or equivalent role
• Experience handling a budget of at least $5M+
• Consistent track record in leading infrastructure and end user support team
• Solid experience with Cloud Hosting; AWS or Azure
• Solid experience with DevOps proejcts and automation
• Good understanding knowledgeable in IT service management tools and processes
• Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in multiple fields/technologies/processes
• Experience with organizational improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
• Experience with Agile development processes and methodologies
• Project management / project leadership experience a plus
• A solid background of Digital Transformation, Agile, Data and Cloud related platforms is a plus
• In depth knowledge of IT operations in a regulated environment, preferably med tech
• Demonstrated enterprise thinking, with ability to influence and collaborate in a global, matrixed environment
• Good understanding of IT and business methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum and SaFE
• Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT Service Management, and EA and ITIL frameworks
• Strong project management skills and experience
• Demonstrated ability to handle opposing priorities & initiatives, quickly changing priorities, and high customer expectations.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $112,000 to $216,000 plus an annual incentive bonus, and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
