Position Summary:

ZF is a key supplier to GM across all its Product Lines, based upon technology, innovation and system integration capabilities. The Sales Manager for Electronics and ADAS owns the sales relationship with GM NA, holds global responsibility and reports to the Vice President, Sales for Electronics and ADAS & Passive Safety Systems.

This is a role which requires commercial savvy and business acumen. The Sales Manager is responsible for both the support of existing business, as well as the development of future business potential. There is tough competition in our business sectors and rigorous financial pressures, so the position requires financial aptitude and a comfort level working with highly technical products. Further, the position requires the ability to develop and nurture the customer relationships and gather important market information that is necessary to influence our organization, used to ensure success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth, hit sales targets by successfully managing the global sales team.
  • Meeting deadlines, ability to work under pressure.
  • Contributes to global team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Lead negotiations on contracts and pricing.
  • Be responsible for customer satisfaction and relationship, whether it relates to issues of cost, delivery or quality.
  • Support and implement long term business strategies to achieve the Division/Account short and long-term goals (sales, profitability, market share, etc.).
  • Identify customer trends and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status; proactively position ZF to support those needs.
  • Problem solving attitude, positive thinker who can quickly pinpoint problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years equivalent and similar experience in a multi-national company required.
  • Must have sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing directly with major Global OEMs. A strong preference will be given to experience on dealing with General Motors and electronics related products.
  • Demonstrated ability building customer relationships and in sales development.
  • Solid financials skills;
  • Prior experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Prior managerial experience.
  • German language experience beneficial.
  • Poise, flexible and resilient.
