Sr. Network Engineer (5100)

As Sr. Network Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network infrastructure to support military operations in both tactical and non-tactical environments. You will work closely with military personnel, technology vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our network systems.

What you’ll do:

• Design, plan, and implement tactical network architectures tailored to meet the specific requirements of military operations.
• Develop network diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications to guide deployment and troubleshooting efforts.
• Provide subject matter expertise in tactical Army networking practices and processes
• Deploy and configure network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and communication systems in both fixed and mobile environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, cybersecurity specialists, and mission planners to achieve shared objectives and goals.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
• Integrate new technologies and capabilities into existing network infrastructure to enhance performance and functionality.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• A strong understanding of tactical Army networking processes, regulations, technologies, and approaches
• Requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing complex network environments in a military or defense-related context.
• Proficiency with network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
• Strong background in satellite communications (SATCOM) systems, telecommunications, and IT equipment
• Expertise in ensuring interoperability and integration of software applications and systems.
