Sr. Network Engineer
Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Nework Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of federal government security requirements as well as knowledge in a variety of networking technologies and protocols. Shift schedule is 2-10pm.
Location: Fort Meade, MarylandΒ
FSLA Status: Full-Time
Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens
Position Type: On-Site
Clearance Level: TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence Polygraph
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, research, design, and model robust cloud-native web applications.
- Acquire a complete understanding of a customer's technology and appropriate usage of Cloud and Container technology like AWS and Kubernetes.
- Responsible for designing, creating, testing, and maintaining web front-end applications hosted in Cloud Service Providers.
- Interact with the customer and team to gather and define requirements and prototype web applications using wireframing as well as system design tools.
- Analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy their needs.
- Coordinate the creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent web application design.
- Follow a formal Agile-based design process.
- Design and develop visually pleasing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.
- Deliver comprehensive web application solutions to satisfy customer requirements and maintain configuration management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Top Secret/SCI w/CI Polygraph
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- 7 years of related work experience; an additional 4 years of work experience may be substituted instead of a degree
- Knowledge in a variety of networking technologies and protocols, including LAN, WAN, wireless, data center networking, and network security.
- Strong understanding of federal government security requirements, including FISMA and NIST guidelines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a relevant certification, such as CCIE, CCNP, or JNCIE.
