Diligent Robotics is searching for an experienced Network Engineer who can lead networking initiatives and troubleshooting while working on a cross functional engineering and IT team. 

As a network engineer, you'll have responsibility for setting up, developing and maintaining networks within the Diligent Robotics organization. The ideal candidate is self driven, passionate, and has experience offering support to users, who can be operations, robotic software, and hardware engineers, and troubleshoot any problems that arise. They also have a strong track record of designing new networks for both the office network and for customers. This person thrives in a fast paced development environment and has the ability to make rapid decisions. You can deal with ambiguous situations, remove obstacles and implement effective solutions. 

Your aim is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for your users and Moxi. 

Responsibilities:

• Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
• Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
• Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
• Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
• Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
• Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation
• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
• Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
• Conduct network related projects, and when needed, create and manage a project plan for cross functional teams to assist with 
• Conduct onsite hospital network assessments to assist with new product releases
• Occasional travel, off-hours, on-call work required
• Incident, Request, Change, and Problem management
• Implementing and overseeing High Availability (HA) methodologies & technologies

Qualifications

• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.  
• Expert knowledge of core routing and switching design principles, best practices, and related technologies.  
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, VLAN, VPN, and QoS.
• 5+ years’ experience designing, implementing, managing and supporting enterprise level IP networks that include support of a heterogeneous distributed server computing environment required.  
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience. 
• Extensive application support experience with network monitoring and analysis software
• 2+ years experience with supporting, troubleshooting, and monitoring LTE solutions.
