Sr. Payroll Analyst

Job Summary:

The Senior Payroll Analyst will be overseeing the company’s payroll systems, payroll tax, payroll and benefits accounting, equity workflows, internal and external audits, and custom reporting. The Senior Payroll Analyst's duties include ensuring the integrity of payroll and benefits data while utilizing knowledge of systems and procedures to automate and enhance processes. The selected candidate must have great attention to detail, be self- motivated  and be able to interact professionally with employees, managers and executives. A successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, team-oriented personality, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinates the automation of manual file feeds  
• Audits to ensure accuracy of data across all systems
• Manage employee tax updates and corrections in payroll system
• Audit vendor tax payments and filings for accuracy
• Monitors tax changes and compliance ordinances to stay relevant
• File and remit payment and tax reporting requirements to local tax agencies not managed by vendor
• Oversee the Payroll and Benefits Team’s Accounting month end close workflow
• Facilitate equity payrolls
• Coordinating internal and external audits
• Creates and maintains advance ad hoc reports
• Assists with reconciling W-2's and other year-end activities

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience processing multi-state payroll
• Extensive knowledge of payroll related laws 
• Experience with accounting concepts
• Comprehensive knowledge of various types of equity awards and programs
• Demonstrates outstanding troubleshooting, analytical and technical ability
• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment

Nice to have:

• Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow, Google Workspace, ETRADE and Excel
• Experience with BambooHR, Fidelity PSW and Netsuite preferred
