Responsibilities:

• Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payroll transactions.
• Maintain payroll records, including employee information, time and attendance data, and tax withholding details.
• Maintain and optimize the payroll platform to meet the organization's specific payroll needs, staying up to date with system updates and best practices.
• Calculate and process adjustments, deductions, and bonuses accurately based on approved documentation.
• Review payroll reports for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or errors promptly.
• Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies by conducting regular audits and implementing effective controls.
• Prepare and distribute required payroll reports, tax forms, and other related documents.
• Coordinate with HR, Legal, and Finance departments to ensure proper onboarding and offboarding of employees in payroll and HRIS systems.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, etc.
• Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate and timely communication with employees.
• Collaborate with benefits providers and insurance brokers to resolve any issues and ensure smooth administration of benefits.
• Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist in year-end payroll processes, including generating W-2s, reconciling payroll data, and preparing necessary reports.
• Ensure data security and confidentiality of employee records, adhering to privacy regulations and internal policies.
• Provide training and support to team members on the use of the Paycom platform and related software's.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to improve and streamline the payroll accounting processes globally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist or a similar role, preferably in a medium to large organization.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processing and regulations, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with payroll software systems and timekeeping systems; experience with Paycom platform is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations and data integrity.
• Excellent understanding of employee benefits programs and administration.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and maintain high standards of data privacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, benefits providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
