Sr. Performance Tester (JMeter, Python/C#/Java (any Solid Software Development Experience),GIT, Grafana, Dynatrace, CI/CD)

Vertafore India is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing, software development, and quality engineering. They will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining performance testing tools, creating valuable artefacts, mentoring team members, and troubleshooting issues across the performance stack.

What will you do as a Sr. Performance Test Engineer at Vertafore?

• Work independently across various functional and technical areas using performance testing tools.
• Develop new features and maintain performance testing tools.
• Create valuable documents, particularly performance and endurance test results, for the team.
• Mentor team members by sharing knowledge and expertise.
• Adhere to established software design patterns.
• Troubleshoot issues across the performance stack, including testing framework, CI environment, database, and network.
• Provide feedback in performance code reviews regarding adherence to patterns, design, and valid development practices for the testing product and coding language.
• Generate or oversee the generation of data from statistical analysis performed on testing results across various performance products.

Required Skills and Experience.

• Software Development - Development Coding.
• Software Engineering - Design and Architecture.
• Quality Engineering - Performance Testing Approaches and Best Practices.
• Test Script Development using tools like JMeter, Locust, etc.. - Standard Practices for Custom Frameworks.
• Test Results Analysis - Root Cause Analysis. Statistical Analysis of Results Using Standard Statistical Methodology.
• Database Interaction - SQL Commands, Database Interaction, SQL Script Creation and Implementation.
• DevOps - Pipeline Creation and Maintenance.
• Experience with Agile software development

Specific Required Minimum Levels of Applied Experience:

• 3 or more years of experience in performance test design, development, execution, analysis and reporting.
• Strong experience in Jmeter., Locust.
• 2 or more years of software development using established design patterns.
• 2 or more years of professional experience actively developing software in a major language, preferably Python/ C# / Java.
• 2 or more years of professional experience with shell scripting.
• Experience in Grafana
• Experience in Dynatrace
• 2 or more years of professional experience generating and employing SQL scripts.
• Experience in GIT and CI/CD Pipeline Creation and Maintenance 

Qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
