Job Description
eSalon is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our innovative Tech Team to maintain and expand our current software platform, while establishing software development best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to determine and implement business/technical requirements.
In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills. This role is fully remote so be encouraged to apply from wherever you are!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Architect and develop high-quality and maintainable software.
- Research, scope, prototype, implement, test, and document new initiatives and projects.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Build out back end architecture to ensure optimized platform performance.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Review and debug code.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Maintain and expand our current software platform.
- Ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Requirements
- Must have at least 3+ years of development experience as a PHP developer.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Git, Linux, nginx, HTTP, OOP, and modern web technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of front end technologies (HTML/CSS/SASS/JS/JQuery). Experience with modern libraries such as Angular/React/Vue is a plus.
- Experience with MVC frameworks (we work with CakePHP but we are open to any framework experience).
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills and the ability to convey information concisely to technical and non-technical people.
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
