Network Infrastructure

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

The team you will be a part of

Network Infrastructure includes IP Routing, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks, as well as Alcatel Submarine Networks business, currently reported under "Group Common." This business group will respond to the ever-increasing demand for higher capacity, excellent reliability, faster speeds and lower costs.

Nuage Networks from Nokia fully virtualizes and automates any Datacenter, SD-WAN network infrastructure, transforming it into a reflexive environment that instantaneously establishes the network services required to deliver cloud applications across thousands of tenants in a policy-driven manner. In a field rife with upstart vendors offering the SDN flavor of the month, Nuage Networks has the pedigree to serve the needs of the world's biggest clouds.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

o Conduct architecture review, design and solutions for multiple engineering teams and oversee code reviews.

o Collaborate with product managers, key stakeholders, and business groups to categorize and describe solutions for business and technical requirements.

o Stay on track with latest technologies for the domain and apply the experience and knowledge on architecture and to improve the product features.

o Develop and own architectural roadmap and ensure the product aligns with the business, clients and stakeholders' strategies and requirement.

o Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.

o Explain the status & value of proposed design/solution to stakeholders.

o Analyze and articulate current technological solutions and proposed valued alternatives wherever required.

o Develop the technical specifications according to which solutions are defined and delivered. Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team.

o Develop, deliver solutions that meet the timeline, quality and costs for the projects and deliverable elements. Solutions must meet the preset goals for quality and performance.

o Direct and oversee the activities of development teams.

o Define the technical vision for product evolution for scale ranging from a single, small to large group of endpoints to cloud services complying with all applicable product development processes

Your skills and experience

You have :

o You have 18+Years of technical experience with 5+Years of experience as a Principal/Sr. Architect in product development.

o You have extensive professional experience working as a software architect designing and architecting software solutions for large networking solutions.

o You have experience designing large complex scalable software defined networking solutions with a focus on quality & performance.

o Hands on experience developing mid to large scale software commercial products using C/C++

o You are hands on with multiple programming and scripting languages including C, C++, Python, Bash.

It would be nice if you also had:

o Knowledge of SD-WAN

o Excellent knowledge of Linux, with deep understanding of the OS architecture, Routing/Switching and Networking protocols.

o Proven, excellent technical skills and knowledge of leading-edge technologies, skills in communication, business acumen, coaching, and mentoring.
