Sr. Privacy and Product Counsel
Job Description
You’ll join the NextRoll Legal Team reporting to our Global Head of Privacy and Product Counsel and provide legal counseling with a focus on privacy, product, and brand safety policy matters. You will work closely with NextRoll’s Product, Engineering and Brand Safety teams to develop and deploy privacy-by-design features for all of NextRoll’s products and services, mitigate risks, and craft product solutions. You will lead and drive aspects of NextRoll’s Privacy Program, including working with NextRoll’s Data Protection Officer to promote company-wide compliance with data protection and privacy laws and regulations and implement initiatives vital to address compliance. You will engage with key internal partners and help raise awareness of data privacy and security compliance and governance across the company.

The impact you’ll make:Â- Support internal partners as a privacy subject matter expert, tracking global privacy and security legislation and regulations, and translating it into clear and useful guidanceÂ
- Play a leading role in maintaining and growing the company’s privacy program and strategic plan, including policies, procedures, training and awareness, and ongoing improvement
- Provide guidance to legal, product management, policy, and engineering teams on issues pertaining to new and existing products and features
- Develop a deep comprehension of company technologies, data, customers, and the AdTech regulatory environment in order to advise on product development, opportunities, and risks.
- Support NextRoll’s Brand Safety efforts with useful guidelines and standard methodologies
- Provide counsel on domestic and international data privacy laws and regulations
- Identify privacy risks and vulnerabilities and develop procedures for proactively identifying and responding to changes in the regulatory landscape
- J.D. with 9+ years of legal experience, which include product counseling in a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a technology company advising clients in the full range of product development and privacy matters.
- 5+ years of privacy experience; Adtech experience a plus.
- Current member in good standing of a U.S. state bar; California preferred.
- Excellent teammate and interpersonal skills; focused on finding win:win solutions; must work well in a highly collaborative, team environment.
- Strong personal communication skills, both written and oral.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and business judgment.

Minimum salary of $198,000 to maximum salary of $244,650 + bonus + equity + benefits.Â
The range provided is NextRoll’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
