You are detail oriented and proactive and seek to fill knowledge gaps. You know how to find simple solutions to complex problems.

About the Role

• Reporting to the Head of Product, work across PM, Engineering, and Customer Solutions to deliver an exceptional user experience to Viaduct customers.
• Provide design expertise and input to all product development efforts, attending sprint meetings, working in sub-teams, and communicating your ideas using mock-ups, prototypes and documentation.
• Work with people inside and outside the company to understand users, their jobs and their pain points. 
• Proactively plan and run user research to unearth patterns and insights to help drive product direction.
• Work with engineering to standardize a visual and interaction design system that will streamline development and result in a consistent experience across our products and solutions.
• Be hands-on to provide a measure of quality control that ensures our products and solutions meet a high standard of usability before they are released.  
• From time-to-time contribute cycles where needed to contribute documentation, training and marketing collateral.

About You

• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that showcases your ability to design B2B software that is beautiful, powerful, and intuitive
• BS or equivalent training in Human Factors, User Experience Design, HCI, Information Science, or related.
• Extensive experience in data analytics, visualization and machine learning.
• Practiced at every facet of UX including user research, workflow analysis, information architecture,  design systems, interaction design, and visual design.  
• Proficient with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, etc.)
• Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, including presentation skills

Bonus

• Comfortable using front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript for prototyping, demonstration toolkits, and website development
• Have implemented design systems and are familiar with libraries that work with REACT applications
• Mobile application design and responsive UI
